Until We Tremble Too

Unti We Tremble Too

Matthew 17:20-21 (NKJV)  So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Have you ever prayed and it seemed like nothing is happening? Have you believed with all your heart yet still things did not go well? Walking by faith and not by sight is a challenge. It takes a full body, mind and spirit change to meet such a demand. The five senses of the body are acutely aware of its surroundings and work together to make it through each day. It’s called survival. To give in to the current conditions or circumstances of our natural life is not God’s Will for us. Yet, we do it for lack of understanding or full application of faith in our daily endeavors. We save the “big things” for God and attempt to tackle the mundane tasks and small things ourselves. This is not exactly what the Word of God tells us to do, but it is the culture of church today. Lives made a little better just by knowing the Name of Jesus. Well, need I remind you today as I am also reminded – “You believe that there is one God. You do well. (Good for you paraphrased). Even the demons believe – and tremble!”

The demons believe and tremble. The problem is not in the belief system of the enemy. It is in the mind and heart of God’s People. Do we know the Name of Jesus? Do we believe? Do we tremble at the Power and Authority given to us in the Name of Jesus Christ? Jesus spoke and demons fled, dead people came to life, and even the wind and rain obeyed Him. His Power and Authority was evident yet still some did not believe. In Luke 9:1, Jesus gave the same power and authority to His Disciples. Power over all demons and to cure diseases. They still couldn’t do it. The Lord reiterated in Luke 10 that He gives us the power to “trample serpents and scorpions, and all the power over the enemy and nothing shall by all means hurt you.” Do we believe? Do we tremble at the awesomeness of such a gift? To have all power and authority in this life delivered to us by the Christ in us for signs, miracles and wonders. Do we believe? Do we tremble at His Name?

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (NKJV) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

It is one thing to imply belief in our words and actions but it quite another to initialize and implement faith. Faith is active. It is alive. It grows when planted. It must be invested to reproduce or it is just an unused resource. The measure of faith given to us is to be used now. Today. Not for big things but everything. Faith is a tangible substance not a passing thought or idea. It is a full investment of this life into eternity that will produce Kingdom productivity supernaturally in the natural. It begins by believing. Believing not just in the existence of Christ, the Gift of God that is eternal life but becoming fully aware and accepting of His Power and Authority handed to us by way of the Cross and Resurrection. We cannot use a weapon we do not possess or refuse to take hold of. A gun in a gun safe behind a locked door is no good if the intruder sneaks in at night. We are unarmed and not ready. But to sleep with the weapon locked and loaded by your bed ensures that you will not be caught unaware. Where is your weapon today?

Obedience is essential. We must not only read God’s Word. Know God’s Word. We must become fully compliant and obedient to God’s Word to have His Authority and Power. Obedience (hupakoe) means to listen with a compliant submission and agreement. Doubt tells us that when happened in Biblical times cannot happen now. Miracles are for fairy tales and fiction not real life. Reading God’s Word will never be enough. The Word of God makes faith logical. It is the revelation of the seed of faith’s potential in our life and the encouragement needed to sow it daily. Real faith is defined by obedience. To strive daily to live God’s Word and fulfill His Purpose.

The Spirit-Filled Bible offers commentary on strongholds that I found to be quite powerful and revealing. A stronghold is first established in our mind. Behind every stronghold is a lie – a place of personal bondage where God’s Word has been held subject or enslaved to any unscriptural idea or personally confused belief. I remember many years ago teaching a Youth Sunday School Class. In the course of the lesson, I mentioned that Jesus never married or had a family of his own while on the earth. I was quickly refuted by a 13-year-old who was adamant that the Lord married Mary Magdalene and had a family. I tried to explain through passages in the Word that this was simply not true. Her family had watched a movie that made this appear to be Truth to her. She could not be convinced otherwise. Eve was caught up in a lie of twisted truth. The enemy does it all the time. Appealing to our mind with a half-truth or skewed interpretation of God’s Word. Behind every lie is a fear and behind every fear that is an idol. Idols exist and are established wherever there exists a failure to trust the provisions of God that belong to us in Christ. Strongholds are broken by Truth that is turned to trust manifested in obedience even when completely contrary to the world and society norm. It is in such a place our heart and mind are changed and become one. Faith grows to confidence in this place. As strongholds come down and faith arises – our body, mind and spirit prosper in Truth as our soul prospers. Suddenly, our life becomes subject to the Kingdom of God and not this world and all its problems, temptations or trials.

Matthew 7:21-23 (NKJV) “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe – and tremble!”

There are many who say that they believe there is a god. There are even those who believe in the one true God. There are some who believe that Jesus is His Son and that He died on the Cross for their sins. Churches are filled with believers. My greatest fear is that when I met Jesus face-to-face that He would say, “I never knew you…” I cannot even fathom that moment of separation. Faith is given to us to develop a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ which gives us access to the Father. The Father who fully embraces us as His Children again. We can now enter His Presence, talk to Him, listen to Him, and the potential of His Word is now our promise. All of this wonderful! God is good! If I do not realize that importance of obedience in claiming the Kingdom of God and my place as a Child of God through faith and belief in God’s Power and Authority over my life – I will miss out on the impossibilities becoming my possibility. More than that – I may miss out on the greatest love affair ever known. See casting out demons and healing diseases is pretty impressive but it is unconditional love that most people truly seek – the rest is just icing on the cake. Lord, may our belief be captivated by Your Word today, fortified by the Truth of Your Great Love for us. Father, help us to plant faith and sow confidence in Your Love that leads to obedience. Help us Holy Spirit to tear down every stronghold, expose every lie, destroy every fear and knock over every idol so Your Power and Authority will be manifested by Your Grace. Help us in our weakness. God give us insight, discernment, revelation, knowledge and understanding to become our wisdom. Father, help us to know you more. Jesus – we want you to know our name. Lord, may we press in until we tremble at Your Name too! Let everything we do and say rise from this purpose in our life. Amen!

Luke 10:19-20 (NKJV)  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Eat My Words

Luke 6:44-45 (NLT) A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thorn bushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

One of the perks of the holidays in our office are the many gift baskets and plethora of food sent to us by our clients. Breakfast is catered. Gift baskets carrying many delicious delicacies. One sent a case of chocolate covered strawberries although I am not sure that we have been that good this year. Digging into the boxes, there were a variety of berries large and small covered in milk chocolate rolled in chocolate chips, white chocolate rolled in sprinkles and more chocolate drizzled in with red and green frosting. The presentation was perfect. Carefully packaged to maintain their appearance. Packed with ice packs to stay fresh and keep their form. Such temptation could not be avoided. Biting into the first one it was so sweet and rich the chocolate melting in your mouth followed by the ripe, sweet strawberry. It was heavenly. So much so that I had to try just one more. The covering just as yummy as the first one, but the berry inside was sour and disgusting. Soft and nasty – it was beginning to rot ruining the experience entirely. I had to get it out of my mouth.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart. What is the production of my heart that is flowing from my mouth? What is the flavor of my lips? When speaking to others, is it life or death? Do I nourish their soul or condemn their life? Our words reflect the cultivation and production of God’s Word in our heart. Barren conversation filled with gossip and bitterness only signifies a lack of growth and prosperity. When I have a tough piece of meat like a London broil, I usually take a meat tenderizer that looks like a torture device and plunge it into the cut of meat over and over again. This separates the muscle from the meat. Those veins of marrow they cause tough gristle to form is torn and severed by the sharp points as they pierce it. Afterwards I take the manhandled piece of beef and I marinate it not only to infuse flavor but to soften the meat so it is edible and delicious. After a while, I cook it at the right temperature for the right amount of time and it becomes a delicious meal. Hear me men and women of God. Hear me woman of God. Our words require no less. Our heart must be tenderized and marinated to produce the words that God desires of us. To present the message of the Gospel it must be covered in love and presented with perfection. I wonder could I eat my words today. Would they be palatable?

Psalm 19:14 (NLT) May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

“I am a sinner. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Caught up in words, tangled in lies” (Brokenness Aside) I love this song. I can identify with it completely. I AM a sinner. Though I try and try I still sin every single day. I used to think being a Christian and growing in Christ meant rising above sin and living a better life. What it really means in drowning in His Grace every single day in humility at the realization that apart from being totally absorbed in the Lord – I am desperately lost every day. One sin would have nailed Jesus to the Cross just the same. I think this is forgotten by those who know their Savior more than one day. To rid one’s life of certain sins means nothing. You and I are still sinners just as much as the one who comes in to church reeking like the club and accidentally throws a free drink ticket into the offering plate rather than the dollar they were digging for. The only difference is that I believe the one who was out last night is more honest than the prideful one condemning them one row over.

After enduring a season where lies, rumors and hurtful words cut to the heart of one of my children, I should not have been surprised to hear the rumor mill begin to stir about another. One would only hope that in the aftermath of hurt, separation and bitterness – Christians, believers, leaders, teachers, members and congregations would learn that words are power. Words will infuse life in a church or tear it down person by person. Not the case, hurtful words about others who need the Lord and are in the constant prayers of others. Torn apart and judged only because in this particular instance you made a better choice. Shame on you. Shame on me. Shame on us. The cancer of the church is found in conversations filled with words like “bless their heart” and “I will pray for them” only trying to disguise gossip and insecure people who think Heaven is earned and grace is not enough.

Do the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart reflect the Love I have been given and the Grace that I have received? What makes you or I more deserving of God’s Grace, Love and Favor than anyone else walking on the planet? He loves us all exactly the same. The one who is working and striving to build the Kingdom must never think it is okay to tear a single person down or condemn one of their choices without refuting God’s Word that promises He will work every detail out for those who love Him. The more I know Jesus and spend time in His Word the more I realize that there is nothing that I can do to earn His Love or deserve His Grace. I am a sinner. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

Caught up in words. Tangled in lies. Women by virtue of numbers, it is our distinction to speak about 10,000 words a day – some more and seldom less. What am I saying? Do my words build others up? Do they tear them down? It doesn’t matter WHO we tell them to – it is what we release in the atmosphere. Have you heard of acid rain? Water is drawn into the sky and forms rain. If the source is tainted, it becomes acid rain that moves in a cloud and kills whatever it is released upon. We get caught in our words. We get tangled in lies. Have you ever heard the expression “enough rope to hang yourself”? Well…the enemy convinces us that our words don’t matter. Or even that because we add something like “bless their heart” or “I need you to pray for” that it somehow changes gossip to gospel. It doesn’t. I promise you that what is spoken in darkness will make its way into the light.

Proverbs 26:22-26 (NLT) Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart. Smooth words may hide a wicked heart, just as a pretty glaze covers a clay pot. People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they’re deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils. While their hatred may be concealed by trickery, their wrongdoing will be exposed in public.

Have you ever wondered why your ministry is not growing? Why prayers for revival are not answered? Could it be that our words are not cultivating seeds of faith? Maybe it is our overflow of senseless and thoughtless words that is quenching the fire? Rumors kill churches if entertained. People are the Kingdom. Build up the people and churches will grow. Tear down sinners and there will be no one left. I wonder what might happen if we removed all the stages and platforms from church buildings. What if all church leaders and teachers were stripped of titles and there was no one left to cater to their office? What if the pastors in our congregations would be simple shepherds with a rod for instruction and a staff to guide with humility, gentleness, grace and love? Would the Holy Spirit do the rest? Could we trust God’s to take the Word and by His Spirit change hearts and lives?

Our pastors cannot lead churches and build the Kingdom because their schedule is full of appointments mediating members and settling issues with their leaders. Our congregations are caught up in words and tangled in lies. Rumors have sunk into hearts and killed those who came to be saved. Not able to live up to our standards, they thought that Jesus required the same. No love. No problem. I will just sleep in on Sunday. Oh, how I love sleep. Christianese covers the death sentences dealt behind doors and when we think no one else is listening. I do not want to be a glazed pot. Beautiful on the outside but worthless on the inside. I do not want my heart to deceive and my words to deal death. Lord, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit. I do not want to be part of the death and destruction of others but offer life in every conversation.

I John 3:1-2 (NLT) See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

I have five beautiful children. I have some who live to please me and maintain a right relationship with me at all times. I have others who must test every boundary and find their own way. They argue among themselves that I have favorites. I let them think what they want. The truth of the matter is that I love them all the same. I would lay down my life in second for any one of them without a moment’s hesitation. They are my children not because they make good choices or do the right thing. They are my children. (Period) When will we realize as individuals that this is the Heart of God for His People? We cannot build a Kingdom until it is understood that there is absolutely no condemnation in Jesus Christ. It is by His Grace that we are saved by faith in Him alone. We are family. Equals. Brothers and sisters no matter what because it is His Will and His Plan.

Religion is man’s way of seeking after God. God wants us to establish a relationship with His Son, Jesus. Once this is accomplished, Jesus tells us to create the same connection with everyone else. How are we doing? Not very well…no revival means no relationship. Early believers did not have time to tear each other apart because of their relationship and unity revival broke with thousands coming to Christ at a time. It can happen. It will happen. Are you willing to take a long hard look at your heart? Do you think it might be possible to go to those you have condemned with words and ask for forgiveness? Is it even thinkable to exalt another before our pride today and overcome insecurity to establish a bond with others? If we can’t get it right in our families, friendships and congregations…why would He give us nations? Why would He send our community? Why spark revival that will quickly be drowned in worthless words? Where the Spirit of the Lord there is freedom. Don’t get caught up in words and tangled in lies. Speak life today. Speak love. Give them Jesus in every conversation. And for goodness sake, if you have nothing nice to say…say nothing at all.

Colossians 4:6 (NLT)  Let your conversation be gracious and attractive[a]so that you will have the right response for everyone.

Don’t Buy the Lie

Don't Buy the Lie

I Corinthians 10:12-13 (NIV)

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

The devil cannot make you and I do anything that we do not want to do. There I said it. God’s Children are covered by the Blood of Jesus, hearts sealed in the Spirit and surrounded by heavenly angels for protection. They are under guard of the Most High God. Though the enemy attacks, his weapons are futile against the Born-again, Blood-washed, believer who by faith stands firmly on the Word of God without wavering. Our faith is in the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God wrapped in human flesh who lived and died to demonstrate God’s Love allowing us to step back into a right relationship with God the Father once again. To think that the enemy can harm us or take anything from us is to discredit God’s Power. It means that we consider satan’s power to equal or exceeding the Lord’s Sovereignty which is just not possible.

“So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” The enemy’s tactic is temptation. The weapon that he yields is only one. His inability to touch us or harm us in any way leaves only one device – he is a liar and a really, really good one. No temptation has taken us except what is common to man. Sin began with a lie. The serpent challenged the reasoning of Eve concerning the Truth that God had given her. She chose to believe the lie rather than stay true to the Word. When God created human beings, we did not possess an ounce of shame. (Genesis 2:25) However, the moment they believed the lie – guilt and shame covered them. (Genesis 3:7) The Word of God concerning them. The Fruit of the Tree did not change Eve in the slightest, but rather it was her action that made the difference. The Tree of Knowledge did not enlighten Eve to some secret condition but in eating it sin now existed in her and she could see it. People are created in the image of God. The sin perpetuated from generation to generation is our inability to discern the difference between the Truth and a lie. It is sad to think that this is the source of our struggle yet the struggle is real.

God is faithful. He is always good. He cannot lie or change His Mind. What the Word of God says is true. This Truth is the basis of our faith completely. Though many people think that they know God and believe in Him without becoming filled with God’s Word and knowing the Truth – we are always on the verging of falling ever farther from our Father. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. However, it is imperative that we know God’s Word and build it into the foundational truth of our very being and existence only then can we endure the trials and tests of life coming out victorious with faith intact and the blessings of God pouring over our life.

John 8:43-45 (NIV)

Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!

People possess the power of discernment. When Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge, discernment is was given to her. She now knew the difference between right and wrong. Discernment is the ability to distinguish or recognize. It means that one can discriminate. The fall of mankind came in the fact that they did not trust God so they accepted the lie. The lie was not the Word. When she ate from the tree, she was instantly give insight and understanding. The lie was that she would not die. Death is considered mercy. Without death, people would forever suffer in their deteriorated condition. God did not make eternal life available until the Perfect Sacrifice was given to restore our right standing with Him impacting our destination after death.

The Word of God is the Truth concerning us. If one decides to do exactly what God’s Word mandates line by line and precept by precept – they can live a better life. The Word of God is the absolute truth. Truth is validated in our life by trust. If we trust God wholeheartedly when tempted we will not be lured away. We bought our home. Our name is on the mortgage and deed to the property. We live here. So if someone were to come knock on the door demanding entrance claiming it was there house, I would tell them differently. I would certainly not let them in nor would I pack up my things and leave because I KNOW this is my house. It is time for God’s People to know His Word and believe it. When the enemy comes demanding what is rightfully ours as God’s Children, we would not give it up so easily because we would KNOW it belongs to us. Things like salvation, healing, deliverance and prosperity belong to us by faith and are assumed when we take God at His Word over the lie of the enemy.

2 Timothy 2:25-26 (NIV)

Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) How is this possible? We have lost of senses. Choosing to believe a lie over the Truth causes a double-standard making us unstable in our faith and ability to trust the Lord. When we believe what the enemy says over God’s Word, we fall into temptation. We leave the foundation of our faith which is truth to live captive to the lie. When Jesus taught his people how to pray, he included “and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:13). When the disciples were supposed to be praying but fell asleep, Jesus warned them, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41) The lie of the enemy is our weakness. However, it does not have to be our downfall. Jesus told the woman at the well that true worshippers will do so in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus gives us His Spirit, we must work to know the Truth. Study to show that you are approved. The Word of God gives us confidence that in the midst of opposition – no weapon formed against us will prosper.

Luke 8:11-15 (NIV)

“This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.”

God’s Word is the seed for our life. His Word has the potential to yield harvests of prosperity to those who keep it, grow it, develop it and mature into godly wisdom for our life. It is human nature to find the lies of the enemy tempting full of shortcuts and substitutions. The enemy wanders through life ready to challenge the Word of God for our life. He will manipulate it and twist it to convince us that serving God is a worthless and stupid endeavor. You only live once right? Wrong. Your soul will live forever. Job was tested and tempted by the enemy but not before the devil went before the Lord to ask permission. God offered Job for consideration because He knew that this man was faithful and fully believed in Him. God did so to bless Job with a double portion. What is God’s Word for your life? How far will you go to protect it, nurture and solidify it in your life? I have trusted God and failed to endure. It was not until it became a matter of life and death that I hung on to the bitter end. Our ability to trust the Lord and live by faith is a matter of life and death. We must learn the difference between the Truth and his lies. We must remain faithful to the Word of God.

I Peter 5:7-10 (NIV)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Are you double-minded today? Stress, worry, anxiety and fear are symptoms of doubt. They are prefaced by a lie that is slowly accepted until it manifests these conditions in our life. We are to cast all our cares on the Lord because He cares for you. He loves you. He loves me. He will never let the righteous fall. He is a Good Father filled with unconditional love and compassion that causes Him to release His Favor over our life. Do you believe that? If not, you are double-minded. To recite the Word of God and then say, “but…” nullifies everything you said before. I hear it all the time. I trust God but… I believe God but… and my all-time least favorite is when “but” is followed by “but the reality is…” The reality of such a statement is the evidence that you trust the lie more than the Truth friend. We must call it what it is. When we decide that the enemy can tempt us beyond God’s Intervention and Grace – it is sign that we are overcome. We must resist the enemy. We must hold firm to the Truth we have been given. We must refuse to move until God does. The Word of God tells us that a double-minded person is unstable in all they do simply because they cannot tell a lie from the Truth. This is a curable condition.

James 4:7-8 (NIV)

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Submission to God is full acceptance of His Word, who is His Son, as the Truth that governs our life. This aligns us with the Kingdom and releases Heaven to come to earth. Our pursuit of God by faith seems illogical but is not without explanation. We have all that we need to obtain godly knowledge, eternal insight, and become full of wisdom. Will we take the time to do it? His Word feeds and nourishes our spirit and fertilizes our soul for prosperity sake. We must decide to know God through His Word. Jesus said, “I am the way, truth and life. No one can come to the Father but through me.” We know of Jesus but to truly know Him enough to really love Him and surrender our trust to Him requires His Word on a daily basis. We need it to feed the streams of living water within us until it rises up in us and pours out of us into this dry and thirsty land. You do not have to go it alone. You have everything you need already supplied to open every locked door, as well as to close the ones barring the enemy’s access to your heart and mind. You have all power and authority because Jesus Christ, the Living Breathing Word of God lives in you. His Spirit and Truth connect to make the powerless more than powerful.

John 8:31-32 (NIV)

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

If you can find it in God’s Word, you can have it for your life. God’s Promises belong to God’s Children. You are a child of God. Don’t let the enemy tell you any different. The Word of God cannot be changed by the enemy only challenged by his lies. Our knowledge and belief in the Word of God exposes the lie and brings it to no effect in our life. We hear it but no longer believe it. Greater is the one in us than he that is in this world. You must hold on to the Truth. When you do, the Truth will set you free. No longer bound by sin, shame or any other lie the enemy shoves in your face, you will overcome experiencing victory in all things just like the Father planned it. We win. We are victorious. Everything becomes possible when we believe the Truth over a lie. God is Truth. His Word is true. We can trust Him. The rest is up to you. Today, I claim this promise, I will know the truth and it will set me free!

Psalm 25:4-5 (NIV)

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
